Knightway approached us to build a brand for their new recruitment company. We were tasked with creating a logo, colour scheme, theme and all of the print products and digital documents for the company.
The directors had previously used our services for their original company; Brooks and Allen and entrusted us with helping them delivering a vision for their new venture.
It was clear from the start that clean, sharp lines, soft tones and a minimalist typeface was required. Knightway set out to operate in the property, construction and technology sector.
The new website had to appeal to candidates as well as employers and also needed to feature a job board that integrated with a CRM system. Candidates needed the ability to manage an account and apply for jobs.
Knightway also wanted the ability to post across their social media outlets using pre-designed templates to ensure brand continuity.
We got to work and started by designing a logo. We thought it was important to future proof the brand to enable maximum flexibility for future business sectors. We explored various typefaces and shortlisted five that we felt represented the vision of Knightway. At this point we decided that the brand required an icon based logo and developed ten icon layouts. We then developed the ten icon layouts by layering them with the shortlisted typefaces. Once we had finalised the typeface and icon layouts we then ran the design in twenty colour variations and presented the mood board to our client.
Now that we had a colour palette and typeface we set to work with designing the website. We sourced imagery that utilised the colour palette whilst demonstrating business equality. We researched a CRM system that Knightway could utilise and worked closely with them to deliver a custom job board. We delivered a first layout draft and after a few tweaks started fleshing out the site with content.
Once we reached the point of final draft approval we started to develop the company stationary and digital documents. As with any brand, it is imperative that there is continuity between all company publications.
Once we were in a position where all of the graphic design work was complete and approved we set to work on the less glamorous but arguably most important work.
We created the company social media profiles and sent the adaptable templates across to the team in order for them to post across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and the company website blog. Business cards and stationary were sent to print and digital documentation templates sent to the client.
The custom SEO strategy was then carried out and implemented using carefully selected keywords to ensure maximum success. Analytics software was integrated with the site and the team were trained on how to monitor this. We also listed the company on Google My Business, and optimised the profile and trained the team on how to monitor and respond to reviews.
